Podcast
Geschlechteridentität und Diskriminierung aufgrund der Geschlechteridentität sind keine Nischenthemen! Und deshalb soll die Diskussion darum für viele Stimmen und Perspektiven geöffnet werden. Davon sind wir überzeugt, und haben deshalb diese Idee zur Leitidee unseres Podcasts gemacht, den wir 2019 produziert haben.
Historisch gesehen hat sich eben die trans*inter*queer-Community intensiv mit Fragen um geschlechtsspezifische Identität und damit zusammenhängende Diskriminierung auseinander gesetzt (oder sich auseinander setzten müssen!) und für die Platzierung dieser Themen in der breiteren Öffentlichkeit die Hauptverantwortung übernommen. Geschlechtsspezifische Identität betrifft aber jedem*r von uns persönlich, egal wie wir uns definieren, und die Verantwortung für gesellschaftliche Akzeptanz geschlechtlicher Diversität liegt ebenso bei uns allen.
Im Rahmen des Podcasts haben wir durch Storytelling die größere soziale Relevanz von Geschlechteridentität und Diskriminierung aufgrund der Geschlechteridentität auf verschiedenster und zugänglicher Weise angenähert. Dabei haben wir Storytellers ausgesucht, die unterschiedliche Sichtweisen mitgebracht aber auf eine gleiche Art gesprochen haben: nämlich persönlich, politisch, und aus dem Herzen sprechend!
Von 20.12.19-31.1.20 wird jeden Freitag eine neue Episode unseres Podcasts auf diese Webseite veröffentlicht. Der Podcast wurde auf Englisch und Deutsch produziert. Es gibt für jeden Podcast ein Transkript zum herrunterladen.

Joey Juschka lebt in Berlin. 2012 gewann er den Publikumspreis des open mike, eines renommierten Wettbewerbs für Nachwuchsautor*innen. 2017 wurde ihr ein Arbeitsstipendium Literatur vom Berliner Senat zugesprochen. Manchmal möchte Joey die Welt verbessern. Die zu behebenden Missstände begegnen ihr tagtäglich, inmitten der Stadt. 02. Gender Sender Podcast: A story from Hinemoana Baker.

Hinemoana Baker (she/her) is a New Zealand poet and performer currently living and writing in Berlin while completing a PhD in at Potsdam University. Hinemoana traces her mixed ancestry from several Māori tribes, and also from England and Germany. Hinemoana identifies as takataapui, which is most often translated as ‚queer‘ or LGBTQI*. The word, and its reclamation, stem from a traditional Māori story in which a famous ancestor and his ‚intimate companion of the same gender‘, his hoa takataapui, live on an island together. This man eventually marries a chief’s daughter, but only after she wages an impressive campaign to persuade him, including declaring her love for him by secretly impersonating a man. Hinemoana has travelled and performed internationally extensively in the last 20 years, has published three collections of her poetry, edited several more and produced five albums of her original music and text. She came to Berlin on a funded fellowship as the Creative New Zealand Writer in Residence 2016. As well as writing and performing Hinemoana has worked as a radio broadcaster, a teacher of graduate and undergraduate creative writing, a quit-smoking coach and as Magenta in a Rocky Horror Show dinner cabaret.

Born in Edmonton, Canada, Wayne Yung moved to Vancouver in 1994, where he became established as a writer, performer and video artist exploring issues of race and identity from a queer Asian-Canadian perspective. He has lived in Germany since 2001.

Lesley Whitaker works in tech by day and writes fiction by night. She’s based in Berlin where she rides the trains everywhere, dreaming about all the myths she’s ever read and all the drag shows she’ll ever see. Lesley is a regular storyteller at Club Motte and a previous winner of SmutSlam Berlin.
05. Gender Sender Podcast: A story from Mathilde Manon

By telling us her version of a well known tale, Mathilde Manon brings us into a relaxed journey from deep in the ocean towards the top of the mountains. The next story was originally part of a longer performance by Regina Rossi called two lips. Two lips was performed last spring in hamburg kampnagel, it is a performative installation around the representation of vulvas in myths, legends and history. 06. Gender Sender Podcast: A story from Cameryn Moore

Cameryn Moore is an award-winning playwright/performer with seven solo shows under her belt, but she is perhaps best known as the founder of Smut Slam, a global network of community dirty-storytelling events. In addition to hosting regular Smut Slams in six locations around Europe (with more in the works), Cameryn delights in creating extremely niche performance projects for her home city of Berlin, including such awesomeness as YIKES! (a celebration of awkward performance), Sex Ed (a cabaret of play, with Duckie L’Orange), and the forthcoming NOM (a community storytelling open mike about food, with Lisa Frischemeier).
